Wedding Photography FAQ

I believe in complete transparency with my couples, and that’s something they truly value. To ensure every couple receives the same high standard of service, I’ve created this Wedding Photography FAQ. Here you’ll find clear answers to the most common questions, helping you feel confident and informed when choosing me as your wedding photographer in the UK.

About My Photography

1. How long have you been a wedding photographer?

I photographed my first wedding back in 2010 and have been capturing weddings, portraits, and events ever since. With over a decade of experience as a professional wedding photographer in the UK, I bring both creativity and reliability to every event.

2. How would you describe your photography style?

My style is a mix of documentary, natural, and timeless photography. I focus on genuine emotions — laughter, tears, joy, and all the little details — while also making sure you have beautiful family portraits and detail shots of your décor. Many couples describe my work as Natural Wedding Photography that feels real and heartfelt.

3. Do you also offer engagement photoshoots?

Yes! Engagement or pre-wedding shoots are a wonderful way to celebrate your love story and get comfortable in front of the camera. Many couples use these images for invitations, décor, or simply as timeless keepsakes.

4. Do you also offer wedding videography?

Yes! We are a dedicated team of professional wedding photographers and videographers in the UK, offering complete coverage of your special day. Our team includes 3 experienced photographers and 2 skilled videographers, ensuring every moment is captured beautifully. We also have both female photographers and female videographers, perfect for couples or families who prefer this option. With us, you can book your wedding photography and videography package together, making the process seamless and stress-free.

5. Where are you based? Do you travel for weddings?

I am based in the UK and cover London, Essex, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and the surrounding areas. I also travel across the UK and abroad for destination weddings in Europe and beyond.

Booking & Packages

6. How do we book you as our wedding photographer?

Simply complete the booking form on my website, or contact me directly via email or phone. A deposit secures your date, and the remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding day.

7. How much is the deposit?

A £200 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your date.

8. What packages do you offer?

I offer several wedding photography packages, ranging from half-day coverage to full-day storytelling. Each package can be customised to suit your needs. Please see the pricing section on my website or get in touch to discuss a bespoke package.

9. Do you charge travel fees?

Most travel within the UK is included. For weddings abroad or events requiring overnight stays, travel and accommodation costs will apply.

10. Do you work alone or with a second photographer?

I usually work alone, but for larger weddings, I can provide a trusted second photographer to capture additional angles and candid moments.

On the Wedding Day

11. How will you dress on the wedding day?

I always dress professionally and appropriately for the occasion, blending in with your guests while staying comfortable enough to move quickly and capture every moment.

12. Do we need to provide you with a meal?

For full-day coverage (10–12 hours), I kindly ask for a meal during your wedding day. This allows me to recharge so I can continue capturing your memories at my best.

13. What if you haven’t photographed at our venue before?

No problem at all. I’ve worked in a wide variety of venues, from rustic barns to luxury hotels and outdoor ceremonies. I always research your venue beforehand to ensure I’m prepared, and I often arrive early to scout the best photo spots.

14. What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

I always have a backup plan. For outdoor weddings and engagement sessions, we can reschedule, move indoors, or use creative lighting techniques to make sure your photos are stunning regardless of the weather.

Deliverables & Editing

15. How many wedding photos will we receive?

It depends on your package, but for a full-day wedding, you can expect around 500+ fully edited images that tell the complete story of your day.

16. Do you provide colour and black & white photos?

Yes, most photos are delivered in colour, but I include a selection of elegant black & white images that highlight emotions and atmosphere beautifully.

17. Will all of our photos be edited?

Yes. Every delivered image is professionally edited for colour correction, lighting, and sharpness. You’ll receive high-resolution digital files ready for print and social media.

18. When will we receive our wedding photos?

You’ll receive a sneak peek within a few days of your wedding. The full gallery is usually delivered within 6–8 weeks, depending on the season and package.

19. Do you provide wedding albums and prints?

Yes, I offer luxury wedding albums, wall art, and professional-quality prints. These heirlooms are crafted to last a lifetime and are a beautiful way to relive your memories.

Practical Questions

20. Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured, including public liability insurance, and all my professional photography equipment is covered.

21. Do you have backup equipment?

Absolutely. I always carry multiple cameras, lenses, batteries, and memory cards. If something fails, I have everything I need to continue shooting without interruption.

22. What happens if you’re unable to attend due to illness or emergency?

We are a strong team of 3 professional wedding photographers and 2 experienced videographers in the UK, so your day will always be covered. Unlike solo photographers, our team approach ensures reliability and peace of mind. In the unlikely event that one of us cannot attend, another member of our team will step in, guaranteeing that your wedding photography and videography coverage is never at risk.

23. Do we need to prepare a shot list for you?

The only list I ask for is family group photos. For the rest, I capture the natural flow of your day — real, candid moments alongside beautiful posed portraits.

24. Can we copy and share our photos?

Yes! You are welcome to share your photos on social media, print them for family and friends, and enjoy them freely. The only restriction is commercial use by other suppliers, which requires permission.

25. Can we meet you before booking?

Definitely! I always encourage a coffee meeting or video call so we can get to know each other. Building a connection helps me tell your story in the most natural and genuine way.

26. How long will my wedding photos be stored?

Your online wedding gallery will remain available for 10 days from the date of delivery, giving you plenty of time to view and download your images. The original RAW files will be securely stored for up to 60 days before being permanently deleted. We highly recommend downloading and backing up your photos as soon as possible. As a professional wedding photographer in the UK, I always advise couples to keep multiple backups to ensure your memories are safe for years to come.
